Shot the Western Veil Nebula last night with the LX90.  Also used the OIII filter to get some detail.  Got to have more time to use the Ha filter.

That is cool, Steve! :)

That one is supposed to be hard to get, isn't it?

I have had no problem getting it with my trusty LX90 and Canon T5.  I think the problem with it is actually seeing it through the eyepiece.  Other than aligning the scope and occasionally looking at the moon, planets or sun, I rarely even look through any eyepieces.  Once aligned, I attach the camera, connect it to the laptop and off I go!

Awesome photos Steve. Every time I look at your photos I kind of chuckle as I was told by a so called expert that the Meade LX90 was junk and that I should look at something else rather than them. I didn’t take that advice and happy I didn’t.
Thank you for sharing ,
Rick

Thanks guys for all the positive comments.  I have really enjoyed my Meade 8" LX90.  I like to see just how far I can push it.

Here's my latest shot of this nebula.  It's with an Orion StarShoot G10 color camera with the 8"LX90 mounted on a SkyWatcher EQ6R Pro mount. This camera certainly brings out the color better than the stock Canon T5.

Hi Steve!

Looks like the attachment did not come through!  I will see if I can find something to attach to a post and see if it will work for me.  I would like to see yours though. :(
