Anyone looked through the Solarmax140 scope (not filter) vs the 90 ?

Has anyone here looked through the Solarmax140 scope (not filter)
vs the Solarmax90? I'd like to know
1) What is the real (perceived) difference visually?
2) What is the improvement in resolution for imaging?
I have a project in mind and need to make a decision about how
much to invest, but can't find anything about this scope online.
Only info I've gotten is that it's a 140mm scope at about $33k
vs. the $15k to set up the 90.
Grateful for any info...

But with that aperture, it would be nice to also have the scope serve as a good nightime refractor.

I've observed through most of the 140s.
Depending on the site (seeing definitely limits the resolution increase) then it's worth the cost. But at this level you're reaching the laws of diminishing returns- if you're after the best go for it but if you haven't spent the time to evaluate the site and application you may be throwing good money in the wrong bin. For personal use you'd be hard pressed to exceed a 140 under the right circumstances but if the goal is outreach and portability then you may be better served with another setup or multiple 'scopes.
Drop me a line if you'd like to correspond or discuss further.

However, I think that good quality eyepiece end filters, such as Marcello Lugli's CromixSun might provide better value for money. It's an option I'm considering at a later date, as it will work well with my 127mm Maksutov.
