I did not catch all of this meteor trail. It was bright and not part of any known shower.

What direction was it coming from, with, against earth rotation?...or maybe independent?  Considering its trajectory and color, I wonder if it was a de-orbiting satellite?

Whatever it is, it made a pretty trail.  Cool shot!

Independent. I can tell if a trail is not a meteor if it appears on preceding and/or following frames.

 

There is a small element of doubt, as I did not get the full trail and it was in the corner but 90% meteor, I'd say.
