Hi Phillip! :)

 

I am not sure what the issue is, but I can never see Venus as anything other than a blob of light in any of my telescopes.  The occasional image of Venus that you put here as always better.

I probably need to spend more time with Venus, trying different things.

Hi Bill,

 

Venus is getting more difficult, as it has passed half phase and is now further away than the Earth-Sun distance. As Venus is very bright, it can be difficult. I recommend a moon filter or variable polarizing filter. Before that, I even used sunglasses and also used them for Jupiter. I got some funny looks.
