You camera is doing a good job picking up the background stars, which I normally cannot see unless I am at a really dark site and the ozone haze has cleared, normally after midnight.  The majority of those background stars look brownish red to me when I am actually out there and can see them.  I think it is great that you can pick those up with a camera in (I am guessing) a fairly light shot area.

i take nearly all of my shots from suburbia and process a lot.
