Happy New Year to All!!

We've had only a few clear nights so far this month and I have tried to take advantage of each one since I've got the observatory up and running.

Here are a couple of shots I took on 1/5 with the 8" LX90 and the Canon T5. One is the Flame Nebula and the other is the Running Man Nebula.  Both are in Orion.

Hope you enjoy them and remember you can follow all of the activities from the Mollie Brown Observatory on Facebook at Steve's Astro Pics.

Clear skies everybody!

Steve

Hi Steve,

Wow!  Those are really nice!  I have only seen diagrams of the stars in the running man and have never seen the nebulosity that you show.

I will have to remember "Steve's Astro Pics!"

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks Steve,
Very nice thank you. The weather here has been absolutely terrible, snow and wind chills well below zero. The forecast is not real promising more of the same for the next 2 weeks. I been doing allot of reading.

Thanks again,
RickScofield
