The sky finally cleared up for a while Sunday night so I decided to try and capture Comet 46P. Here's what I ended up with. You can see a video I put together at Steve's Astro Pics on Facebook.

Here's 4 one minute shots stacked that I took Monday night before clouds rolled in. I made this shot with the Canon T5 on the iOptron Smart EQ mount.  It was with the Canon 75-300mm lens set at 300mm and f5.6.  I didn't think it was too bad of a shot for something the size of a subdivision over 7 million miles away.

Thanks, Steve!

So far, whenever I have been able to go out since this comet was brought to my attention, it was either cloudy or the Moon was really bright.  The only exception was a sidewalk astronomy event that had so many street lights and lit up signs that the only thing really visible was the Moon.  I appreciate your efforts and you sharing them. :)

BTW, I think both images are really nice.

Thanks Bill.. Sorry about the last multiple posts but something went wrong when I tried to post another pic. I'll try again later.

I think this comet was a little over-hyped.  :)
