Hello,

Just to share with you, that in order to change an alignment star (obstruction with a tree or a building), you have to wait until the end of the star pointing process (you won't be able to change it during it), and then press the "back" key.

The documentation says "scroll down" key but since 1.6d firmware, it seems that it changed.

Hope it will help,

François

of course you can validate one star and skip the second or the third one and made the final alignment with the fourth...

I tested many configurations and I always have been able to align at the end (even with small visible sky part)

I will add, that with a red dot finder, alignment stars are always very close from the red dot (thanks to the compass and autolevel sensor...) allowing the alignment process to take 5 to 7 minutes to complete

....faster than the automatic align!

It is often easy to over look when a scope is built to do all the setup things automatically, but having a human eye and knowledgable brain around is always a good thing! :)
