Shot this a couple of weeks ago . . . 16 shots / 90 seconds each / ISO 3200 / 8" LX90 / Canon T5.

I consider them God's Christmas ornaments because they appear around Christmas and they are so beautiful.

Boy did you catch the Plieades right!  Exposure is good for both the stars and the nebulosity.  Very pretty, Steve!

Steve,
God did a fantastic job with the universe didn't he. I like your analogy and photo of the Seven Sisters.
Thank You and Merry Christmas,
RickScofield

Thanks guys!  And yes Rick, I agree that God did do a fantastic job with the universe.  That's why I strive to get better at taking pics of it to share with others.  I just bought an off-axis guider and camera to try to get more shots to stack for greater detail.  Got to learn how to put it all together and then how to use it.  But I AM STILL HAVING FUN!!

No I believe I might just get me a GEM mount..I just really hate to de-fork my scope, so I might get a GEM and some other scope if I can afford it soon..Thinking of a GEM and maybe Meade 8" ACF for it..I just don't know yet.. :D

I am a firm believer in the 8" ACF after owning one!
