Hello group!

I have a nice Meade zero shift microfocuser attached to the tube's rear cell.

It offers possibility to use 2" eyepieces also.

The problem is that even at faster speed it is very very slow. You have to stay moving it during 15-30 second to apreciate differences.

I don't know if it is normal or perhaps it requieres some setup or adjusment.

What do you think?

Thanks!
Carlos

Hi Carlos,
I use this Meade Microfocuser for a very long time and am satisfied.
With the Autostar # 497 on the LS 6 " I need no more than 15 seconds in the fastest setting to achieve the specified value of approx. 10mm displacement.
Does your hand controller have a "Focus" button? If yes, which settings are displayed?
greetings from Germany

Hello Wolfgang,

Thank you for your answer.

I use it with Meade LS Autostar III too. I choose "fast" speed, but it takes more than a minute to reach 10mm.
With your data I think it needs a mechanical adjustment.

P.S. Congratulation on your guide to setup true North in a Meade LS. Very useful and very clear.

Carlos.
