Hello,

Could damage may result if you run the focuser too far in either direction?

Thanks

François

Hi Francois,

Just normal turning of the knob all the way to the end of travel will not hurt the scope.  Just don't keep trying to force it to turn more.

Thank you;

In fact, if I use the electric focuser from JMI and I go all the way left or right, it will stop automatically when it reach the end of travel, without any damage like loosing a screw ?

As long as the JMI focuser does not torque up too much, you should be OK.  However, I really do not know much about the JMI focuser.  You might want to contact them and find out what they think.
