JUst about have everything ready to image the eclipse.I tried a lot of things but think the cell phone camera is going to work the best for me as im set up for wide field imaging with the mono imager and filter wheel.Im going to use the Meade sn6 with a 15 mm EP and I made a plate to mount to the EP to hold the camera in place. It has yeilded good results for A focal imaging of the moon.

Looks like a really good rig for this, Mark! In a way, I envy you your SN scope. I was very tempted to buy one years ago and should have. However, I now have the LX 70 eight inch regular Newtonian and am very happy with it. The SN 6 gets a wider and much better corrected image, however.

Good Luck!.....but you really will not need that....unless you get clouds, the images are already in the bag as far as I am concerned.

I got to see it. It was a nice eclipse. I did not have clouds, because I was not trying to take pictures of the eclipse!

I watched until about 10 PM, then had to go to bed.
