The work done by this guy Flavio using a 10" Dobsonian and a ZWO ASI Camera is just phenomenal.

Here is his work:  https://www.flickr.c...57635199644635/

These are the images most of us anticipate with Meade's LX Series of 8" and higer aperture telescopes, especially with the new SCT ACF UHTC being superior to all those dobs. Having said that, I am not sure of the authenticity of the claim to the images.

So, did anyone here try these cameras? They are modern and  powered by Sony chips.

He seems to be using this one http://astronomy-ima...asi120mc-color/

There are better ones on the site; the USB 3.0 one at $399 has a 2k resolution

What do you guys think of the setup, anyone tried it, or something else that is similar and modern?  Anyone here with similar resulting images but with a different camera?

We all strive to make the best of the $3,000-$7,000 scopes we buy and would love to find a modern imaging approach with amazing results.

I want a setup that uses a small camera like this one but with live video feed capabilies, I don't know whether this type of camera offers that.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you
