New to Astronomy and excited about it.  Just received a lightly used Meade LX50 10" for a partial trade and learning about it.  The LX50 does have the Magellan II system but the user's manual and other literature was missing and I cannot find any copies on the internet.  Even Meade customer service does not have a copy.  Can anyone out there help me?  Even a hard copy mailed to me would be greatly appreciated (I will be happy to pay copy and mailing costs).  Thanks and you can be sure there will be many more questions!

Hello colonelz,

Welcome to the forum!  I have no idea about an instruction book for an LX 50, but if I find something, I will let you know.  Hopefully, someone else has something somewhere, or has an idea about where to look.

Best Regards,

Bill Steen

Colonelz,
I think you just discovered one of the best resources for help with Meade.. Bill is not a Meade employee, he volunteers his time on this website along with another gentleman. I just though you should be aware of this.
Good luck with your LX 50

Mark Sibole has been the pillar of strength that kept the forum going for a number of years when I was somewhat hit and miss.  He additionally helps people on at least one other site, I believe.
