Is there a way to set the LX850 to automatically flip?  I get the beep and message "scope near limit push GOTO to flip".  Is it only manual?

Also if I'm mounted on a pier and know that the scope isn't going to run in to anything is there a way to get it to continue past the meridian?

Thanks

Rich

Hi Rich,

As an outside observation of the problem, and automatic flip might catch you off guard when viewing through the eyepiece.  There might be work-arounds, however, like always having the rear of the tube go down and not up.  I suspect not having one, if that is the case, is being done with safety in mind for the visual astronomer.

Hi Rich,
We come back to the same question of having a full Ascom driver !!!
You can only flip the meridian manualy for now. With a full Ascom driver you'd be able to run an Observatory software and automate that function also.
That's why I keep on begging for it.
