Newbie needing advice. I need a USB to RS232 Serial Adapter to hook things up to my laptop. Meade sells one for $47, and they are under $20 on Amazon. Anything special about the Meade one that would force me to stay away from the same devices that are less expensive? Anything "special" to look for or watch out for? Thanks in advance! Steve

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

There is nothing special that I know about.  There are many different brands out there that have worked.  However, some of the cheaper ones have been known to not function properly for telescope purposes......(don't know why.)

Hope this helps,

Bill Steen
