Has anyone been able to source a replacement 2" focuser for the DS 2114 short tube scope? My rack and pinion gears have stripped. Or a source of rack and pinion gears that I could adapt to this focuser? Thanks in advance,
manny

Hi Manny,

Contact www.telescope-warehouse.com.  Bill Vorce has a website and also sells things as scopehed1 on eBay.  More than likely, he has a whole focuser for sale for not too much money.

Thanks for the reply Bill. I looked at both sites and see no usable focusers.
Will try to source some helical rack and pinion materials to replace the stripped teeth. Found some metric M0.5 pitch rack in brass with new pinions and waiting for a quote. Hope its not too expensive?

Manny,

You might consider giving him a call or sending him an email.  He has a lot of things that are not listed on the websites.
