I'm very new and thinking of buying the attached telescope.  Problem is I have no idea what model or anything it is so I don't know how much to pay for it.  It's posted on-line and I called and the seller couldn't find a model number for me to look it up.  So can anyone provide any information as to what model it may be?

Thanks

That looks to be a Meade DS-2114AT-TC. I have an older version with a black scope mount. It is a 114mm (4.5 inche) scope with either a Autostar 494 or a 497 handbox ( the 497 has numbers on the keypad, the 494 does not).

Here are some more details on teh scope. http://www.opticspla...cope-20125.html

I dont have a price since most, if not all of ths model are are no longer being sold. But do a good searcha nd oyu should find some prices. I picked mine up for dirt cheap ($20 :) ) so you cant use my price as a guide.

There is a PC cable for it so you can control it from your computer. The Meade #506 cable is for this scope. http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B0001DZ6K0

AaronDouglas - Thank you for the information.  I will do a search now on that model type and see what it's going for.  Unfortunately they're not selling it for what you picked yours up for.  Good deal though!  Thanks for the info on the cable too.
