   Hello everybody,

I have just bought an LS 6" ACF-SC GoTo telescope and I haven't received any collimation key inside the package. I need to know which key set for collimation is appropriate for this type of telescope. Thank you !

Hello Florin,

You should not need to colimate a new LS 6 unless it was bumped around too much in shipping.  If that is the case, it takes an allen wrench on the front end to adjust the secondary mirror.  I am not sure which size, but that is all that it takes.  Adjusting the secondary mirror is the only thing there is that you can do.

Hope this helps,

     Thank you Bill !

I have just ordered an Imperial Allen key set for US since the keys in metric system are useless for my LS 6 (I live in Europe).

  The key set includes   5/16 - ¼ - 7/32 - 3/16 - 5/32 - 9/64 - 1/8 - 7/64 - 3/32 - 5/64 - 1/16 - 0.05 inch  keys.

I will check which size is the good one and I will provide the information on this forum. It could be helpful.  Thank you again !

Thank you, Florin!

That will be good information to have posted here.

Hallo Florin,

I just measured the key I use on my LS6" AFC European version, and it is 2,4mm.

Hi Florin, Bill is right with his info, make sure you read the manual which is on the disk. For convenience, I printed a copy off for easy reference.

Best wishes Jim

If memory serves me correctly its either a 2mm or 2.4 mm allen wrench.
