Anyone have a link or anything that breaks down the disassembly of these mounts?

So after taking the clamshell off it was quite apparent what the issue was, the base of the where the clamshell screws on is damaged. I will try any get a replacement mount. So if anyone wants/needs a DS mount for its motors, control boards etc, let me know, I am going to sell this one off for parts.

That is the weak link in the whole mount. One person that I know, a very good welder, was able to braze the two parts back together and make it work. Epoxy might make it work. I have glued one back together, but it had some internal friction with the other parts and would not track properly. I probably needed a jig to hold the pieces together in exactly the right alignment.

If everything else works with the mount, then you do have a pretty good parts bin. Unfortunately, the most likely part to break is broken.

Somehow, I must have missed your first post. I have several long posts on taking apart the mount, way back when, in the DS section.

Sorry to hear about the trouble.

Hi Daniel,

I may be in need of a circuit board for mine :( (long story...)

So...

Do you still have the mount?

and

Are you selling bits from it or are you wanting to sell the whole mount?

I have been meaning to throw it up on ebay just procrastinating a bit much. But I am going to put it up there are one unit for parts. It would be a bit much to get to you in the UK.

Ah, fair comment :)

It would be a little expensive to ship the whole thing internationally!
