Does the field derotator work with the LX600? I was considering it as an alternative for mobile work vs a wedge. Anyone used it? Thx.

I imagine it would, but I think a wedge it much better for imaging, not sure how well a guide camera would work with the field under constant rotation.
LX850 with 10" ACF OTA and Takahashi FS 60C OTA -- SBIG STT-8300M CCD with FW8G-STT Self Guiding Filter Wheel and SBIG AO-8 Adaptive Optics -- Camera Control and Image Calibration with Maxim DL/CCD Pro, Image processing with PixInsight, and final composition with Photoshop CS5

I was thinking that too. I would think the guide star would become the new "polaris" for the field (or maybe thats how it is without the derotator in alta mode). But if both systems could communicate maybe there would be a way to fine-tune the rotation. Just didn't see anything in the menu on it for the 600 (but maybe there wasn't anything on the 200s on it either)?
