The April thread is now complete: http://sungazer127ma...april-2013.html

You can also see the photos accompanied by "Space is deep", an old classic by Hawkwind:

I've just started the May thread, which will now be written latest first, so you don't have to scroll to the bottom to get the latest observations: http://sungazer127ma...5/may-2013.html

You can find a directory of interesting objects to view and photograph here: http://philippugh.co.../Directory.html

OR you can see them in a tour of the universe: http://philippugh.at.../Universe1.html

Finally, you can now see the latest Twitter and blog feeds on my Amazon home page: http://www.amazon.co...gh/e/B0034NTCJK

I've been absent for a while because I forgot my username! Since then I was FMPed, found another job and had bad family health news.

I now have a DSLR with a zoom lens. I've done some deep sky stuff but been limited by the weather.

My highlight is my Hyades photo, which is too big to load: http://www.flickr.co...tetaken-public/

I have been busy, but well.

I am in the process of designing a portable (sort of) observatory for my LX 70 8 inch reflector and Lightbridge 12 to use either in the back yard or in the country.

Retirement from my professional job is on the horizon and I should be able to spend more time with astronomy.

I hope all has been well with you!

Retirement is a long time away, even though I'm 60!
