Saturday night was way too windy to try any serious imaging, so just for yucks I tried a couple of images of the moon with my Lightbridge 16. I couldn’t reach the prime focus so I used a 2x Barlow to bring it out a bit. It has been a long time since I’ve done this sort of simple imaging, but fortunately I had a remote switch for my Canon T2i and the mirror lock-up worked like a charm. In hindsight, if I had known that this was going to work this well I could have taken enough images to cover the entire moon. As it was I was able to assemble this little two-frame mosaic. Not bad considering these were single frames in very poor seeing.
