While observing the other day I was pointing my Solarmax II 60 at the sun and after centering the Sun in the scope I heard a loud popping sound coming from the front of the scope. When I looked at the front of the scope I could see that the spacer (central obstruction) between the filter elements was off center. It appears the the load popping sound was the adhesive holding that spacer breaking loose. Has anyone had this happen to them? I am guessing that there must have been an air bubble present that finally forced the adhesive apart.
