Due to the awful weather, I was unable to do any solar observing this morning. Instead, I revisited an old shot of Orion from February 2010.

It is of particular interest to those who are frustrated by lack of cash, as it was taken with a compact digital camera.

Now at the risk of trumpet-blowing, I think these are better. The main point is that these constellations get higher in the US sky than the UK, as I was visiting Naperville on business:
