Autostar Updater failed load to Windows 7 64 bit Dell laptop

Have attempted many loads all unsuccessfully. Error message re timeout each attempt. Has anyone found a solution?

I have a similar prolem on my Windows 7 32bit Dell laptop. ASU will load but won't run with a Windows C++ runtime error?
Also, Any suggestions?

I loaded the Autostar suite on my laptop that's running Win 7 32 bit and everything installed just fine. You may have to run the suite in a compatibility mode in Win 7 to get it to run on the 64 bit machine. Google up Win 7 capatibility mode and there are many links that show you how to setup a program in compatibility mode.

mjgalindo is your windows up to date? Do a windows update and see if that helps. There may be a program running in the background that is causing the install to fail. You may have to see whats running in the background and shut down all of those programs and then run the install again.
