Which scope did you get and how is it to move around? If you have one that came with counterweights, how much weight did they send? I am trying to envision the overall handling of the scope, moving one in and out of a house.

Thanks,

Bill Steen

I ordered the mount only and am using it with my Lunt LS60Ha solar scope and an Orion Short Tube 80mm scope in dual-mount AZ mode.
The mount only comes with just 1 11lb counterweight -which unfortunately, is too much weight for me to get my setup balanced.
I wish they had a smaller counterweight.
As for moving it around, the handles on the side are handy, but it's still pretty heavy and awkward to move around.

Just FYI, I received an email add from Astronomics (Dec 17, 2012) stating that they now had a few LX80's in stock, both with and without optical tubes on them. Anyone out there still looking for one, there are apparently some showing up. You might want to check with your favorite vendor.
