My first shot:

LX90
2X extnder
Canon T1i

Only had time/juice for 1 shot as my battery on the T1i was dead... forgto to charge it :(

Nice shot but have you tried processing it? I use Paintshop Pro and here's my results:

The exact processing required depends on your camera and you have to experiment.

You've caught a lot of detail but a bit of processing will really bring it to life.

Look at the details in the craters along the edge. I am NO Pro at imaging, but if you learned the tricks of post editing you could really get the same pic to stand out like something amazing!
