I think England is the most over-commercialised place in the world:

Please report the first sighting of any Christmas merchandise in shops.

Today (Sep 12th) Christmas food was on display in Sainsburys.

First sighting of Christmas commercialism this year.

I've seen a few Christmas decorations for sale in a small store just a few blocks away from home.
I think it was before August ended when I saw them.

Thanks, Kunio. At the weekend we saw someone with Christmas lights up in a street near us.

Bet they never go to church!

I've added some new songs that I feel are in the PROPER spirit of Christmas:

I'll happily add any suitable suggestions.

I'll need to record my Christmas message.

Honestly, I can't feel the spirit of Christmas yet, maybe it's because, everything is so expensive. I can remember when I was still a child, when September enters, my neighbors would start decorating their homes and put their lights on ready for the season, can hear those firecrackers and fireworks at night (that's how we celebrate xmas here in the Philippines), but now, I can't hear anything. No decorations, no Christmas lights. Sad... =(

Right, Folks. The first sighting of Christmas merchandise in shops and my Christmas link gets posted again!

I'm all in favour of a more Christian, less commercialised Christmas, although my books make reasonably inexpensive gifts for people who you don't know what to buy them:

It is hard to think about Christmas when it is 100 Deg F outside.

I guess people in the southern hemisphere have to do that, but here in the middle of the US that seems like a very strange mixture.

Hi Bill. I've been in the southern hemisphere for Christmas a few times, as my wife comes from Chile. It does feel rather strange but we had a barbecue on the 25th. They don't have the over-commercialism and long time off work there. Buses run as normal on 26th.

Although I'd love it if my wife and daughter bought me a 10m hydrogen alpha telescope, with the economic climate as it is, I'd settle for a book to read on a cloudy night.

It's official! Christmas cards have been spotted on sale in England, so the Christmas link is activated: http://philippugh.fo.../Christmas.html

You can access it from my home page when you click on the nativity scene.
