Hi
I have the meade PC Camera (Color USB PC Camera) but it doesn't work with windows xp or windows vista.

I follow the intructions of installing but everytime i plug the camera into PC, displays a message saying that windows can't recognize this device.

It appears as "Unknow device".

Have anyone got a solution for this?

The software is installed ok, but says there is no device conected. My installed soft:
- Meade USB 2.0 PC Camera
-Meade autostar suite astronomers edition 3.19

THANKS

you can open up the control panel and on the unknown device you can manually point it to the driver either on the disk or in the folder.
The drivers are on the USB camera disk and not the Astronomers Edition.
I hope you installed the software with the camera NOT plugged in.
If you have to un install the program  reboot the pc  re install the software  reboot the PC then plug the imager in.

OK
Maybe is that.

I have a CD Called "Software and installacion disk", when I insert it an autorun menu allows me to istal camera driver an astronomy suite.

I install both of them and appears 2 softwares "USB 2.0 PC Camera" and "Astronomical software"

But the camera still appears as "unknow device".

So if anyone could post or send me the drivers....

THANKS

I installed the driver and software on xp sp2 and all worked fine.  I did install the driver before plugging in the camera. Once I plugged in the camera the windows device install wizard started and asked me if I wanted to search the web for the driver.  I said no and it was able to bring up the driver I installed.

I am using Vista and was pleasantly surprised when it loaded OK.
Again the software for the drivers only was installed and the camera was not connected.
Hope this helps.
