I own a maxscope 40 with bf 5. When I image using a toucam pro 2 at prime focus I can not quite get the whole disk of the sun. Does anyone know if I was to use a bf10 on the same set up would I get a whole disk image?  P.S please inform me in simple terms as i know nothing of focal terms.

One way to get more or all of the disk on the ccd is to use what's called a "focal reducer".  Atik makes some good ones as well as several other companies.  You would need one that is 1.25" in size that can screw onto the front of the ccd camera barrel.  These range in price form 35$ to 50$ depending on brand and where you buy it.

Its sort of like a barlow but instead of zooming in it zooms out.  It widens the field of view and allows you to see more.
