Hello everyone.  I took these shots with a Maxscope 90 and Calcium 70mm Coronado telescope.  The differences are astounding.  Its Very difficult to believe its the same sun.  Clear Skyz, LA

Thanks Mark.  I have found that I will start seeing active areas in Calcium light a few days before they actually show up in H-alpha as active areas.  The K-line is a very nice view and I sort of consider it a sort of whitelight view to the 10th power.  Initially though I think alot of folks are turned off to it because visually, its hard to see.  The view through the scope appears like a solar image being viewed with a black light.  Really funky to say the least.  Clear Skyz, LA
