Ive used my PST for imaging with the DSI C camera and it will focus but ive been trying to focus this using a 2 times barlow.
Any one have and suggestions on how to reach focus with the DSI C II and a Meade 2 times barlow??

Mark, have you tried removing the lens from the barlow and attaching it directly to DSCII?

Hi Mark,

If the Meade 2X barlow doesn't have a removable front lens cell the Coronado CeMax 2X barlow does.  That's what I've used to reach focus with a DSI Pro and a PST.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the suggestions
Ill see what parts I can come up with here to make a shorty barlow or adapt a lens to the DSI threaded end.

The 1 thing I still find very hard when solar imaging it seeing the monitor scrreen in the bright sunlight to get the critical focus.

Ill keep plugging away and thanks for the help.

Mark, I'll second your comment about using the laptop outdoors.  I am using a portable camping table - I think I will rig up a black cloth "tent" on it, to shield the laptop.  I got a few images of prominences this morning - I'll process them later today.

I found an old Barlow ans removed the lens from it and modified it to fit in the nose of the DSI.
Ill give that a try when the weather co operates.
Thank you very much for the suggestion.
