Hi all i wonder if anyone can help me.  when i first installed autostar suite and opened envisage the magic eye focus showed the left/right focus arrows yellow/orange. When i tried to use the lpi to take some images the magic eye focus is greyed out ive tried a full reinstall of xp then installing autosuite again but its still the same greyed out.
Any help for this newbie would be greatly apprieciated.
thank you
Jim

The magic eye is usually only active if the star or planet is boxed on the screen.
You would do better to use a good focusing mask for focus .

thanks for your prompt reply mark,
but even when the object was boxed it was still greyed out, but if its not really that important i guess i can live with that, i was a bit concerned that the software was bugged or something else wasn`t going to work.
again thanks for your help.
Jim

What operating system are you using?
This is the first time Ive heard of this problem and Ive beta tested many versions of Envisage before its official release.

Sounds like a software issue.
Did you un install all of the meade software and folders and reboot the machine?
You can also check the regestry to see if there is anything meade in there.
Always reboot the pc after check.

If you can clean it up and do a fresh install  reboot then do the update it should work.

One other thing  is if you can remember when it last worked try a system restore to that time.

I had no magic eye arrows at all, ever, with the initial install. I just focused tediously by eye.
I then upgraded to the latest version of autostar suite from the Meade website and the arrows appeared! However since then, although its nice to see them, I don't find them terribly reliable and tend to do it by eye instead...
